Wear Some Sunscreen, FFS

Honey. You HAVE to wear sunscreen, ok? Preserve that beautiful skin of yours! You only get one face. It's never too late to start and I'm telling you, sunscreen in your moisturizer/bb cream/foundation/tinted moisturizer IS 👏🏼 NOT 👏🏼 ENOUGH 👏🏼 . Unless you are wearing full coverage foundation every single day that has SPF in it, you are not wearing enough sunscreen. Take it from this asian and a fanatic of Korean skin care, get yourself some sunscreen and work it into your skincare/makeup routine every. day.

All sunscreens are definitely NOT one in the same. Well, whew. Thankfully you're here and I've done all the research for you.

La Roche Posay SPF 60 is where you need to be living. (Weirdly, there is a version that is 50 SPF, the bottles look almost identical, but stay away from that shit. It leaves your face SO WHITE.)

Dr. Jart Every Sun Day Sunscreen is also good; it's light, thin, feels like nothing on the skin. No ghost face (AKA white cast). This one is more of a gel texture so better for oily skin types.

Another one I tried that touted a little coverage, which I liked but was unfortunately slightly too pink for my skin tone. Also, it says that it's also a moisturizer which is bullshit because I definitely needed a moisturizer under it if I didn't want my skin looking like the Sahara Desert:

The order I apply my skin care in the am is:

Essence

Serum

Moisturizer

Sunscreen

Then foundation etc.

The only time I never wear sunscreen is at night time when there is a chance of flash photography. You get something super fun called white cast, where your face looks infinity shades lighter than your body and it's just not a good look. SPF+flash photography do not go together.

Also! Make sure you wear on it rainy and cloudy days too. Remember when we were kids and we went to amusement parks on cloudy days and still got sunburned as shit? That's because UV rays don't quit even when it's cloudy.

(And PS: yeah, none of these are drug store prices but I dare you to put some Coppertone or Banana Boat on your face and then apply your makeup. It won't look good with makeup and you'll clog the shit out of your pores.)
