Mini Review of Philosophy Skincare: Microdelivery Face Wash

In posts past, I have always talked so much shit about expensive/non drugstore face washes. I just didn't believe that one should spend a ton money on a face wash, given it doesn't stay on your face for longer than a minute or so.

However, I was very generously sent some Philosophy skincare (you know them...click HERE) a few weeks back and I'm working my way through the products, using them consistently over time, to make sure I'm giving you guys the full scoop.

So here I go, eating my words because Philosophy's Microdelivery Face Wash is just so so good. Not only does it contain gentle exfoliating beads that are realllly small which means they actually do something (I've used exfoliators whose beads are so large they do jack shit for your skin. It's like, Oh here, lemme rub some marbles on my face to get rid of dead skin. I'm looking at YOU, Origins Gentle Dermabrasion) this face wash also has Vitamin C in it (hence, the higher price point because anything with Vitamin C is not going to be cheap. If it is, don't trust it.)

I don't use this every day because my sensitive skin can't handle a chemical exfoliant + a physical exfoliant 7 days a week; I use it probably 2-3 times a week. And what's cooler (face wash is cool, ok?) is that you can use it as a mini-peel by leaving it on your skin for 30 seconds or so. This combined with the other Philosophy product I won't STFU about, their Microdelivery Resurfacing Peel (buy it HERE you will not regret it) I'm super feeling how my skin is looking lately.

Le face wash:

Now my tip for you guys with dry skin, especially now that the weather is getting cooler: moisturize the shit out of your face after using these types of products (exfoliators and peels, specifically). I tend to use a sleeping mask before bed on the days I use this face wash or when I do a peel. Because you're literally scrubbing off dead skin, you're also doing a number on the natural oils on your face. Replace them with a heavier moisturizer than you normally use.

Oh and lastly, and I hope this goes without saying but just to make myself feel better...don't be using this around your eyes, man. Also, this isn't one of those face washes where you should go in ham and scrub off your face full of makeup. No. Don't. Remove your makeup first, rinse off, THEN go in with this.

So ok...do you guys have any Philosophy products you use and love??

(As I mentioned previously, this product was sent to me by Philosophy but I was not paid for this review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.)
