I Need a New Black Bag

And before you say anything, yes I do *need* it because I HATE the one I have now, which is the Celine Trio.

I RUE THE DAY I bought this bag *every* time I wear it. It's just really annoying to use.

First of all, the zippers. I didn't realize it before I purchased this bag, but my next bag MUST have a flap and a clasp; something very easy for me to get into. Zippers take too long, get stuck on stuff, get caught...I cannot have a zipper be the main way I get into a compartment of my bag.

Secondly, the fact that it has THREE compartments is just so stupid. I wish I was OCD enough to have trained myself to automatically put my phone in the front pocket, my wallet in the middle and everything else on the inside pocket but I'm not and I didn't and I get super flustered when I'm paying for something and I have to go into all three pockets searching for my wallet. And omg if they're all zipped up and there's a line of people behind me and I have to unzip all three pockets? The rage I feel. It's just the dumbest design in the whole world and I *truly* hate it.

But here's what I like about it:

1. The size/how much it can hold

2. The leather is good and doesn't scuff easily

3. The adjustable strap so I can wear it cross body or on my shoulder.

So fine, first world problems, right? I know. But my plan is to just sell this bag and use whatever money I get towards another one. The problem is: which one?

Stipulations:

I. I don't want an It Bag (no Gucci Dionysis, no Prada Cahier Bag, nothing trendy. Trends die and I want something that not everyone has.)

2. I need it to be able to be banged around without getting scratched (which is the reason I only wear my Chanel Quilted Mini every so often because it's lambskin, which is delicate and more susceptible to scratches)

3. Must have a good re-sale value (no Chloe or Alexander Wang)

4. I don't want a mini bag; I need it to be able to hold all my stuff but I don't want a huge crook-of-my-arm bag, either

5. Strap length should be able to be cross body *and* shoulder strap

Here are some options:

I'm not the biggest LV Monogram fan but I do like the Empreinte leather (it's less obvious and less "I'M ASIAN AND I'M A BRAND WHORE"), the size is perfect, the adjustable strap is what I'm looking for, and the fact that it has only two pockets, one with the clasp and the other with the zipper is doable. Plus Louis Vuitton will always hold it's resale value.

I like this St. Laurent Betty because there's a gold strap, which is unique. One pocket. Check. No logo, even better. And it's calfskin, which is a tougher leather that is more resistant to damage. Resale value of St. Laurent isn't great, though.

I kinda REALLY like this Celine Trotteur in the watersnake leather because the print and shine of the leather is so cool. Size is good, clasp, check. No logo, into it. Nice structure to the bag, too, unique shape. Into it.

I like the Daino leather of this Prada crossbody because it looks sturdy and I think the gold hardware and the clasped flap are elegant and no frills. But there's the big Prada logo which I don't love. However, it's a nice logo, unlike the YSL logo which I loathe.

Ugh I don't know guys. I like them all but then again, I don't know which one I LOVE, you know? There are so many options out there but also not really any right now that I MUST OWN IMMEDIATELY.

Do you guys have any suggestions??
