My Lash Lift and Tint

I'd heard about this lash treatment for a while now (thanks, youtube!) but just couldn't find anyone in my area that did it. Ok, so what's a lash lift? Essentially, it's a perm for your lashes. It permanently curls your lashes and then a tint follows, which darkens the lash, especially the tip, which is more translucent then the shaft of the lash. The idea is that your lashes stay curled and tinted until your lashes fall out and re-grow back normally.
What's the point of this when you can just curl your own lashes every day, you ask? Well. I'll tell you. I'm half asian and my lashes just don't stay curled. The only way they stay remotely curled is if I use a waterproof mascara and frankly, I don't want to be rubbing my eyes on the daily, tugging at that sensitive, thin skin, to get my hard to remove mascara off. I don't care if I'm using waterproof makeup remover, it's still more tugging than I want to be doing. And even then, I don't achieve the desired effect because the weight of the mascara will inevitably cause my lashes to droop.
So I decided to take matters into my own hands and visit Charm City Skin when I saw them post about a lash lift on IG. Michelle did my lashes and she was really great about explaining the entire process to me. And wow, were the results so good.
Here are my lashes before with about 3-4 coats of mascara:

And this is after the lash lift and tint, with ONE (only one!!) coat of mascara:

Like, RIGHT?? And for me personally, I like how it makes my eyes look more rounded than elongated, given I already have almond shaped eyes.
Oh and in full disclosure, (I've mentioned this before on le blog) I use a lash serum, about once a week.
So ok, questions you might have:
1. Does it hurt? Not even a little bit. Nothing stung, nothing burned, I actually felt nothing (except my raging hangover. That was kind of brutal.)
2. How long does it last? Anywhere from 4-8 weeks (mine will last a bit closer to the 8 weeks because I use a lash serum and evidently lash serums actually hold your lashes in their follicles for longer, allowing them to grow longer and thicker.)
3. How long does the process take? This took about an hour.
4. What was the price point? At Charm City Skin, it was $125 for lash lift and complimentary tint. Prices might differ from market to market.
5. Why didn't you just get extensions? The price and the look. I think a full set of extensions can run you twice what I paid for the lift and the tint. Also, I've found that extensions are a bit more dramatic than I personally want for my face.
6. What's the regrowth process like? The permed lashes fall out and new lashes regrow back in, but of course, straighter. Then it's time to go back.
So anyway, if you're in the Baltimore area, I highly suggest you check out Charm City Skin.
AND the BEST part: They're giving you guys a 10% discount on all services* if you mention you heard about them from La Petite Gigil when you schedule an appointment. How nice is that?? Check out their full list of services HERE.
So ok, have any of you had this done before? Tell me about your experience!
