The Real Real and Why I Love It

So one of my best kept secrets that about to not be a secret anymore is that I love shopping high end consignment. Obviously for bags, but for clothes, too. Consignment can have such a negative connotation to some people. Like "Ew why would I wear someone else's old clothes?" and I get it, but then again not really because clothes can be washed and laundered, leaving them totally fresh and clean for their next owner. And let's be serious, it's not like I'm buying someone else's old Gap sweatpants. If you follow le blog, you know that I'm an expensive bitch. #Can'tHelpIt

As you may know, I have been shopping The Real Real for a few years now and I've started to realize given my past few purchases, that they are so good for excellent quality, perfectly cut blouses. I mean, I don't know about you guys, but I love LOVE a good blouse.

See?

I'd been searching for a black silk blouse for a long time because I kept spending money to get my other one fixed and then I realized, K, it's Zara, and it's officially time to find a better quality black silk blouse.

So on to the The Real Real I went and lo and behold, I found the most gorgeous replacement from L'Agence. And L'Agence isn't cheap, man. Like, this black blouse below retails for $325 bucks. And I got it for $50.

The cut and fabric and the way it's sewn is JUST SUCH good quality. I was so impressed when I received it in the mail and I feel so good every time I wear it.

And then just recently, I ended up finding another gorgeous L'Agence silk blouse (this time, cream with small ruffles in the front but I don't have a pic of my wearing, my b) and an Equipment silk snakeskin print blouse (I'm wearing it below). I got this one for $40 bucks. Equipment silk blouses retails anywhere from $100-$250.

Like, guys. The Real Real has SO MANY great brands that they are selling for a fraction of the price. Scroll back up and look at those gray ripped jeans I'm wearing with the black L'Agence blouse. Those are Rag and Bone and retail for $250 bucks. I got them on The Real Real for $50.

So anyway, my point is I highly suggest you check them out; in my experience, they are so choosy about what they sell because everything I've ever purchased from them has been in excellent shape.
