My Everyday Jewelry

I have so many decisions to make in my life every day that I just don't want my jewelry to be one of them. I don't want to think about it- I want to just go through the motions of putting on my outfit in the morning, then jewelry. (I am one of those people who feels naked without my jewelry. Naked and like a boy, ESPECIALLY when I don't wear earrings.)

My everyday jewelry consists of special pieces, most of which have sentimental value. So for example, my Rolex Datejust was bought right after my father died. He'd always wanted me to have one but could never afford to buy me one when he was alive, so I bought it with the little money he was able to leave me. The David Yurman bracelet was given to me on my 30th birthday. My Bulgari ring was purchased by me when I landed my current job. The diamond studs were also purchased by me when I got promoted to Director. And my Cartier Love ring that I wear on my left ring finger was given to me by Alex, on our 10th anniversary of being together.

(my bracelet doesn't have diamonds, but I couldn't find a picture online without them. You get the gist).

Needless to say, every piece I wear everyday means something to me. But also, they're quality pieces that will last forever. No gold plating to get rubbed off (a GIANT pet peeve of mine), no tarnishing. And guys, my jewelry collection? You're looking at it. It's not like I have a vault of tons of other pieces. I invest (and request! :) in good pieces that are classic and timeless.

Another reason I stick to 100% pure yellow and white golds are because my skin is so sensitive that even sterling silver plated in gold (called vermeil...which I totally just googled ) gives me a bad rash and breaks me out. Anything less than the real thing, I can't wear. Convenient, no? 😇

I also should mention that I wear a very thin gold band on my right thumb. Doesn't mean anything to me except that I like it and it's cool.

So it got me thinking, for fun, should I be adding some dainty pieces to my everyday arsenal? I kind of love the look of rings on almost every finger, like this:

And this:

The dainty pieces mixed with the thicker, heavier pieces and the mixed metals just screams, "I put no thought into this and it just works effortlessly."

Right?

So here are some pieces I'm scoping out:

From Catbird and I'd personalize it, but not sure with what, yet:

This white gold one from Etsy, worn on my pointer finger:

This super delicate ring with tiny seed pearls by Baby Anything:

This tiny signet ring also from etsy:

Maybe I'll engrave the date of my last period celebrating the fact that I'm not pregnant? Who knows, the world is my oyster.

So tell me, aside from wedding rings, do you guys have everyday pieces, too? And are you liking/wearing this look?
