If you don't know about this service, read my last post on it HERE

In short, it's a clothing service that sends you consigned high end contemporary brands (think Alexander Wang, IRO, Frame, Tibi) that you can try on and buy or send back. You fill out a survey to describe your style to the stylists who choose the clothing for you, they pack up some choices from their inventory and send it to you, you pay $25 per box, however often you want to receive it and that $25 goes to anything you want to buy that gets sent to you.

I received another box yesterday and I was pumped to go and try everything on at home. Here's what I tried on:

This black IRO destroyed tee. I wasn't in love with it, I thought it was kind of shapeless and although I appreciate a destroyed piece of clothing, I also wasn't in love with the fact that it was 80 bucks. Like, woof, no.

This Iro tank. I put it on and whispered, "How the fuck do I even wear this" as Alex walked by and he yelled while going down the stairs, "As part of the Yankees uniform!" So, back in the box it went. And it was linen so I couldn't even tie it up in the front. This was 86 bucks. Again...really with the price?

These Tibi Loafers I really liked- simple, clean, well made in Italy and at 80 bucks, not crazy expensive for what they are. But alas, they were too big. *single tear*

This Frame dress I would have gotten if I didn't already have 2 dresses that were really similar. The quality and fabric were great but I just couldn't justify spending 90 bucks on a t shirt dress especially when I already have two of the same cut and color. Plus I don't think the length does anything for me. It should be shorter or longer but I don't love that it stops right above the knee on me:

And finally these Frame jeans I considered purchasing except again, I already have a pair of jeans that are very similar in wash and cut, down to the raw hem. Oh and plus, these were 98 bucks? I've seen Frame jeans on therealreal.com for 50 bucks.

So unfortunately this whole box was a no go. You're able to leave feedback on the online form when you return everything so I asked for another stylist and told them that I think their prices are inflated, given these are pre-owned.

I was with some friends this past weekend and I was telling them how cheap I am; not bags, shoes, outerwear, jewelry, skincare or makeup, but clothes specifically. So you might think these prices aren't that bad and if so, I would suggest trying this service out. But for you el cheapos like me, I'm gonna give this service one more chance and then if I don't buy anything again, I'm cuttin' it off.

I'll keep ya posted, obvi.

So tell me. Have you tried this service? Is there anything you would have bought from this box??
