Super big fan of the naked shoe. Like this:

Because of it's minimalism, I find the look so sexy without being slutty and cheap and because of that, I think this trend will stay around for quite awhile. However, now that every high street store and their mother has copied this trend, Kayne West decided to elevate the naked shoe game with these Yeezy's:

Before he intro'd these to the world, I hadn't seen anyone use PVC quite like this. And something about it just works. However. That is P👏🏼 V👏🏼 C👏🏼 That is PLASTIC. And 495 bucks. No, ok? Just...no. (Also that tan suede is going to get filthy after a few wears.)

Enter Steve Madden:

I mean, honestly. How is this even legal?! The differences are so minimal, it amazes me that brands can get away with this. However, as a consumer, I appreciate it because it makes fashion more accessible to the masses. I mean, I probably wouldn't appreciate it if I was Yeezy, but I'm not. So, there's that.

I snagged these forever21 mules recently and totally out of the blue, I wasn't even looking for them. Thank you Forever21 and your crazy low price tags and hidden gems. I got these for 30 bucks. It was one of those seriously lucky purchases because I didn't see any others and they were the only ones in my exact size:

Unfortunately I can't find them on the forever21 website but I did find these which are super similar and give off the same naked shoe vibez:

Ok so be honest; am I so tacky to love this look rn?? (MOM YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO COMMENT BECAUSE I KNOW WHAT YOU'RE GONNA SAY🚫 )
