Collagen Powder- Pourquoi?

So I recently visited one of my gf's who is all about that protein powder, chia seed, flax seed, powdered peanut butter, cacao nib lyfe. You should see her pantry, it's like walking into the dry section at Whole Foods.

She introduced me to Collagen Peptides (it's a powder) that is flavorless and you can mix into hot or cold water. Why am I into this, do you ask? Well, I'll tell you. As you know, I'm doing everything I can to not age. Like, I'm just not one of those women who is gonna be all, "Oh I'm totally fine aging gracefully, a smile line means I've lived, laughed and loved."

FUCK. THAT. When the time comes, I'll be injectable-ing, botoxing, and face lifting. #SorryNotSorry

So evidently, as we age, our bodies naturally slow down on our collagen and elastin production, which is basically what keeps our skin from sagging. This magic powder claims to improve hair, skin, nails, joints, ligaments and tendons. I don't care about any of that other shit, TBH I just want to ingest some collagen and #KeepThatShitTight

Do I know if this actually works? I mean, no I don't. I just started using it. However, it does have EIGHTEEN GRAMS OF PROTEIN, so if nothing else, this shit will serve as a snack when mixed into my iced green tea. (A chicken breast has roughly 40 grams of protein to compare)

Oh but PS: this is made from cows. It's definitely not for those who are on a plant based diet. But if you eat burgers, I suggest you give this a shot. The skin elasticity benefits won't be immediate but the benefit of making you feel full, will be.

But you can of course always shop it on Prime:

And for the record, yeah it doesn't really taste like anything but it's not COMPLETELY flavorless, especially if you mix it in straight up water. Put it in a shake or a juice, you won't taste it. But in water, you may. It's not gross, swear.
