Dat LV Monogram Lyfe

I'm gonna be completely honest. I've just never been a Louis Vuitton Monogram type of girl. It's like, THE MOST obvious luxury print and it's just not really been for me. Not when everyone had those pochette's:

or the Speedy's:

I just felt like EVERYONE had them. So, nah.

I currently own two Louis Vuitton pieces; this black epi carry all (they don't make them anymore but it looks like this):

And a damier print makeup bag that goes everywhere with me:

And I never thought I'd ever be into the monogram print. However, if you've been following along le blog, you know I've been very indecisive about a neutral bag (peep the blog post HERE). And I'm not going to buy something JUST to buy it if I'm not 100% sure about it. Meanwhile, I ended up selling a couple things (an Hermes Double Tour Kelly Bracelet and a Proenza Schouler PS1 Clutch) and while doing some online stalking, I saw this Monogram Envelope Clutch. And because I was making money on what I'd just sold, I was able to purchase the clutch for barely any money out of pocket.

Isn't it just so good?? I've never seen an LV clutch this shape with that sort of clasp either. And it's roomy enough to bring my essentials but still small enough where it won't get in my way.

I'm probably going to send it to the leather surgeon (if you don't know what I'm talking about, peep *that* blog post HERE) to see if they can clean up the leather on the clasp a bit but otherwise, still a steal and still unique af. And it will serve as a bag to carry when a black bag just won't do.
