Ultimate Miracle Worker?

A while back I mentioned that I was graciously sent a ton of Philosophy skincare products. Since then I've been trying them out for you and reporting back. I wrote about my love affair with their Microdelivery Face Wash (you can read about that HERE) and now, since it's been a few weeks, I feel like I can give you guys the skinny on a couple of other products they sent me from a line I hadn't tried before, The Ultimate Miracle Worker.

So ok let's start with the day cream:

First, I love that it has SPF 30 in it. Now, if you've been reading le blog, you know that I don't think that SPF in moisturizer or BB cream or foundation, is enough SPF to really protect your skin. Call me crazy, I just don't. I still *always* use a separate SPF (read all about why I'm psycho about SPF HERE).

The texture of this cream is thick so it's perfect for my dry skin *especially* as the humidity goes away and the colder seasons begin. However, according to the brand, you can still use this if you have combo or normal skin. Oily skin should probably try a less emollient cream. Because it's so moisturizing, my skin is totally hydrated and your girl has been looking dewy af all day long. (Oh PS have we talked about how jealous I am of people with oily skin? You know that means you're going to age more slowly, right?)

So, needless to day: normal and dry skin people, I would highly suggest you try this out. I love it and I'm thinking you might too.

The next product in the line that they sent me was the Ultimate Miracle Worker Eye Cream. And again. Another winner.

It literally melts into the skin. I also use (and have blogged about) Shiseido's Benefiance Eye Cream which I've been using for YEARS because it's so emollient and thick and hydrating (and you know how I feel about dry under eyes, man. I can't and won't do it.) The only issue that I've run into with the Shiseido cream is that it kinda takes for-fucking-ever to absorb. So, during the evening and before I go to bed it's fine because I'm not trying to apply concealer to bed, but during the day, it does have a tendency to make the powder I use under my eyes to set my concealer look patchy. I always kinda just dealt with it because I never found an eye cream that was just as emollient but actually absorbed into my skin. And finally. I found it 🙌🏼 (or actually, it found me). It also has SPF in it, which means it's specifically made for the day. So I wear this now during the day and the Shiseido one at night.

I was also sent a product that was made to mix into the moisturizer to help tighten and lift the skin:

And to be honest, I have mixed feelings about this. I do love the cooling sensation it provides, especially when I'm applying it on my face after I shower at the gym and I'm still red-faced and sweating...it feels amazing. But I can't really say that I see any lifting from it. And also, it does this weird pilling thing where it will roll off of your skin if you touch your face. So, although it feels great applying, I'd rather have my skin look great and not blotchy from the pilling that this product creates.

That said, I'm still really into this line. And they have a night cream that I definitely buying when I run out of my current night cream:

Now, there is another product I just flat out didn't like. It's not from their Ultimate Miracle worker line, it's from their Microdelivery line (which, ironically, I love).

I am always, always drawn to at home peels. I love to exfoliate to try and get my hyper pigmentation and sun spots down and obvi, to get that smooth ass skin. But I tried multiple times with this product and every time it broke me out.

So essentially, it's a pad soaked in product that you wipe on your face, neck and décolletage. It says to wipe the pad on, and depending on your skin's sensitivity, leave it on and apply your other face products over it, or wash it off after a few minutes. I tried both ways and both times, I got a really bad reaction. Not just small bumps, like, real acne. Which of course, for someone that rarely gets breakouts outside of that time of the month, was infuriating. So I'm thinking this product is probably not something that is made for those with sensitive skin, like your girl. Or maybe this product wasn't one of their best, because I remember seeing on sale at Sephora for 50 bucks (it retails for $70) and last time I checked, Sephora.com doesn't even carry it. I gave the peel pads to my mom (she has normal, less sensitive skin than I do) and she said they gave her a bad reaction on her neck, but not her face, which is so bizarre.

So anyway, if you want a really good peel, try the one I want to marry and have babies with: THIS one (which I've now mentioned on le blog approx 364858475 times but I DGAF because it's that good).

Ok so this was more bible length post than I expected it to be, my bad. Hope you weren't bored and hope you try some of the Ultimate Miracle Worker line out because it's really effing good, y'all.

So tell me; have you tried anything else from this line? What do I need to get my hands on ASAP?
