Obsessing Over: H&M Chunky Knits

Recently I was being a mall rat with my bestie, Liz, and we happened to stop in H&M. I was in the market for some chunky knits and snagged this yummy one below which was on sale, from $34.99 down to $19.99. (FWIW, I tend to do most of my purchasing online because going into the store really overwhelms me, which is why I bought 1 sweater instead of 5.)
And then I started to realize that all the bloggers I follow were tagging H&M knits, especially the bloggers overseas.
So I started to do some digging on H&M's website and they have a SHIT TON of amazing sweaters. And the price point is incredibly cheap (read: they're acrylic, rarely any wool and deffo no cashmere.) That said, although the styles look dope online, I urge you to go in store and feel the knits, *or* be prepared to return some from an online order. Because the majority of the sweaters are made with acrylic, they can be super hit or miss in terms of the actual feel. The one above is great; super soft, doesn't feel cheap. But man, when I was with Liz in H&M, I felt a bunch of sweaters that I practically launched out of my hands because they were so reminiscent of the the feel of the gross sweaters my all girls Catholic high school made us wear. *shivers*
That said, peep a few of my favorite looks below. (Again, I cannot attest to the quality and feel of these, because I can't remember which ones I felt in store.) But when deliciously cozy chunky knits are $34.99- $49.99, a $5.99 deduction from your refund if you return something you bought online, ain't that big of a deal. Or you could just return them at an H&M and wouldn't be charged a return fee.
I loooooove v neck sweaters.
This turtleneck sweater would def be a dress on me and in my mind, I'm pairing them with my over the knee flat boots.
This cable knit is a wool blend so it's slightly more expensive, at $49.99.
The perfect shade of winter white.
The PERFECT gray marl.
So yes these are all in my cart and yes, I'm probably going to buy them all with the understanding that I probably won't love them all and I'll need to return some of them. I also buy up a size because H&M runs small.
That said, I'm not the biggest fan of off the shoulder sweaters (they're so impractical. Why are you wearing a sweater showing your shoulders? Aren't you freezing?) and oversized long grandma sweater cardigans. (I just don't find them flattering or very cool.)
Have you been to H&M recently? Have you bought any really good knits I need to get my hands on?
