Why I Need a Facial Steamer

I recently got a facial and realized that the products I use on a *daily* basis were actually BETTER than the products they were on me. (And by better I mean more expensive and more highly rated. Your girl does her research and just knows, ok?) And that facial wasn't cheap, either.
I started getting so annoyed while the aesthetician was working because hello, why am I paying someone to do this; don't I essentially give MYSELF a facial every day? Short answer is no and I started realizing that even though I use great products, I 1. don't mask every day but the more important missing factor, is that I 2. don't use a facial steamer every day.
If you follow le blog, you know that my skin is hella sensitive. So masking and facial steaming on an every day basis would make my skin freak tf out. That said, masking and facial steaming a 1-3 times a week for my skin is totally doable.
Ok so what is facial steaming? Essentially, water is heated in a device and directed onto your skin to open your pores to better allow your skincare to absorb. Additionally, because your pores are open, it allows you to more easily extract blackheads and clogged pores without damaging your skin. And if you wanna get really wild, you can add in essential oils to the water/steam. (Read up on some of my favorite essential oils for your skin HERE and why you should be using facial oils.)
So where can you get a facial steamer and which one should you get? TBH I have little experience with at home facial steamers but my best bet (with everything I purchase) is check dem reviews on Prime, duh.
Good thing we're besties because I did the research for you and here's one that I found that comes with a bunch of blackhead extracting tools and has 8 times the amount of reviews than the other steamers I saw, and they're for the most part, really positive reviews:
AND the best part: it's less than 40 bucks.
Fill it up with spring water, a couple of drops of rose oil, eucalyptus oil and lavender oil, and steam your skin for 5-10 minutes, whatever feels good for you. Gently remove blackheads (or not, depending on how often you do this. You don't want to over do it) and the continue with a facial massage or use your favorite facial massage tool (more about those HERE) and then apply your serums and lotions and oils.
Bliss, AMIRITE.
Ugh I can't wait to get this.
Have you ever done at an at home facial steam? Tell me everything.
