Gifts for Him

So whether you have a significant other, brother, dad, uncle, cousin, whatever...you know that buying gifts for dudes is always so hard.

I've included a few gifts of various price points that I think are pretty cool and will (hopefully, fingers crossed) be pretty well received.

First up, The Apple Watch (42 mm):

If your dude (brother, dad, whatever) is into fitness/taking care of themselves, this is an awesome gift. I bought mine when Alex and I were in Hong Kong this past March and I swear, it has truly motivated me to workout/get my steps in way more than when I didn't own this watch. If your dude is goal driven but needs help turning up the dial on his fitness, this is an excellent motivator. And yes, that rubber strap is gross and (in my opinion, should only be worn when working out) get on prime and get him some cooler straps- and some are so cheap too, like less than 20 bucks.

OR if he already has an Apple watch, why not get him a couple more straps? Like, these are only 4 random choices but look how cool the straps can get (click on the photo to be taken to my search on prime):

An Away Carry On Suitcase:

This is on Alex's list because it's minimalistic and the carry on itself has a charger that can charge an iphone up to 5 times. A CHARGER IN YOUR SUITCASE. My Tumi carry on was almost more than twice the price of this Away suitcase and now I want an Away one instead. It also comes in lots of other colors, too. (Unfortunately the larger checked baggage size does not have the charger feature).

Charles Tyrwhitt Button Down Shirts:

Alex is obsessed with these shirts and they are the only button down shirts he buys. He wears them to work but also on the weekends, too. Roll up that sleeve and you are weekend ready, boi 🎉 The quality is awesome, they have tons that are non-iron (your girl does not iron and neither does her man) and they are *constantly* having a sale. Normally these shirts can run up to 100 bucks but if you keep an eye out for the sale, you can get them for 35 bucks each in various prints. Alex prefers the slim fit cut and not sure if you know this (because I didn't) but you gotta know a collar and sleeve measurement. So a sneak into his closet to check out this other shirts' sizes might be on the horizon.

A skincare travel set from Kiehls.

If the men in your lives aren't taking care of their skin, it's time you get them started. Give them 2-3 simple steps so they won't get overwhelmed. Kiehls has a great men's line; Alex uses their eye cream and moisturizer and I've noticed a HUGE difference in his skin. It's consistently clear and young looking and he looks way less tired because of the eye cream. Because it's a travel set, you're not breaking the bank buying him multiple full sizes. This way, he can try out what he likes, ditch what he doesn't and then buy the full sizes on his own. And believe me, they will notice a difference in their skin so they'll want to keep using it. Jack Black also has a great skincare line for men:

Shoe Polishing Kit (obvi you need to make sure they don't already have one. I feel like most adult men may already have one of these but who knows, maybe they just walk around with janky shoes and you've never noticed. Or they have the brush and polish but not an actual case and full kit):

Or you can go for a super fancy version from Neiman's:

If your dude likes to cook, I suggest an air fryer. It essentially fries food but uses way less oil than a traditional deep fryer. So, healthy(er) fries, healthy(er) chicken nuggets, healthy(er) tortilla chips...whatever his little inner fat kid desires.

The greatest cell phone holder for their car:

This is yet another purchase I know about because of Alex, who did a shit ton of research to find the best cell phone mount for your car. The one he bought is amazing. It's the strongest suction cup that sticks to your windshield or dashboard and the cell phone is held to it by a super thin magnet that you stick onto the back of your phone (or phone case). I swear every time we get in the car, Alex literally *throws* his phone on the mount and it sticks and doesn't move unless he moves it towards himself. You don't have to worry about it breaking and there are no clips to eff with. Here's a pic to give you a better visual (but we have ours on our windshield):

It's such a good buy and less than 40 bucks.

And if your significant other is more into experiences rather than tangible gifts, what about:

  • Concert tickets

  • A staycation in a nice hotel with everything perfectly pre-planned including a sitter (if needed) and dinner reservations at his favorite restaurant

Any of these sound like something le dude in your life (or les dudes), would enjoy?
