I recently wrote a post about a Ouai Haircare product that I was so excited to try because I'd heard so many good things about the haircare line and I loved that it was a multi-tasking product. (Peep that post HERE) But alas, it was terrible for me and I really hated how it made my hair feel and look.
Ever since I've gotten my Brazilian Blowout I've loved how sleek and shiny and well behaved my hair has been, but I miss the volume that my wavy hair provided. So when I blogged about the Ouai's Memory Mist, one of my friends, Caroline, commented on the post and suggested I try Oribe's Grandiose Plumping Mousse. She said she swore by it and since I LOVE getting recos from you guys, I figured I'd give it a shot.
I've written about Oribe before when another friend of mine suggested I try their Anti-Humidity spray (that post can be found HERE) and I already own their Thickening Spray, which is a product with a big cult following, so I figured I'd probably like the mousse:
What I wasn't prepared for is how much I LOVE this mousse.
It doesn't weigh my hair down, doesn't make my hair greasy, provides the volume I've been missing and is able to hold a style way longer than without it. And it's different than the mousses I've used before. I can't put my finger on it but I think it's lighter. Even mousses for fine hair tended to make my hair greasy by the end of the day. And the next day? Forget it.
That said. As with the other Oribe products, this is not cheap. I bought the travel size version which is 2.2 ounces and it was 22 bucks. The full size, 5.7 ounces, is 39 bucks. Obviously the travel size version is less bang for your buck but since I am just trying this out for the first time, I figured if it didn't work, I'd rather have wasted 22 bucks than 39.
But dang, it worked! So when I run out of the small can, you bet your booty I'm getting the big can.
So tell me- what haircare products have you used recently that you've been loving??
