If you've been an OG reader of le blog, you might remember a post I did way back (one of my first!) where I asked the question: are sheet masks bullshit?
In said blog, my verdict was...yeah, pretty much. I don't like how they don't stay on your face and they're kind of uncomfortable to wear but mostly, I just didn't see or feel a difference. UNTIL I read about this little sheet mask (below) and whoever talked about it raved about it's moisturizing properties. It's sold at CVS so while I was there recently, I saw the mask and picked it up:
I was obviously skeptical given my previous experiences with sheet masks but one of the things I immediately noticed on the packaging is that it included my beloved rosehip oil (peep a blog I wrote about that HERE). And then during application, I realized that once that sucker was applied, it wasn't going anywhere. It didn't slide around or off and I didn't have to keep adjusting it (which is the main reason I can't stand sheet masks to begin with).
Then, of course, there's the added benefit of looking like a serial killer:

You're supposed to leave it on until it hardens/dries completely, which I did, and that took about 40 minutes. You gently peel it off and you're left with a little bit of clay residue and you're supposed to wash your face with water to get rid of it. While washing my face, I immediately felt my skin was much softer than before. And then second thing I noticed is that the 11's between my eyebrows were...gone?? Obviously it's temporary because my face will move again, but I've never tried a mask that hydrated my face so much so, that my deepest wrinkles practically vanish.
I didn't notice any tightening (honestly, I forgot to check for that because I was obsessing over my lack of 11's and how smooth my skin felt) but you bet your ass I'm gonna pick up another one of these masks next time I'm at CVS. I'm thinking this is a great mask to do after a peel or physical exfoliation.
(PS: one of the weirdest things about this brand...it's not sold on Prime. WHAT'S NOT SOLD ON PRIME?!)
Anyway, to anyone who suffers from dehydrated skin, I highly suggest you pick this mask up. It's sold in the K Beauty section at CVS.
Have you guys heard of this brand? What have you tried from them?
