As a brand, I LOVE Tatcha. I've used a couple of their products before (namely their hydrating spray) and loved it. And their packaging is so good. But, they're kinda pricey. I love that they're clean skincare that also uses ingredients that the Japanese use. And you know your girl loves herself some asian skincare.
The illuminating eye treatment is a relatively new launch I read about from a couple of my favorite bloggers and I've been testing it out the past few weeks.
It's a two-in-one product, so it's meant to brighten under your eyes but it's also skincare, and supports the product of collagen and fights off hyper pigmentation. Anytime I get use a makeup product that has skincare ingredients, I jump right on it.
It took me a bit to figure out how to use this product, to be honest. But after watching a videos from Tatcha, I learned that you're supposed to use a rice grain size amount and gently spread it on under your eye. As it's water based, the consistently is a bit gel like so it takes a few gentle swipes under your eye along with the warmth of your finger. This allow it to melt into your skin, totally brightening up your under eye and making you look super awake.
I love a bright under eye but find it hard to achieve and still look natural. Think, Kim Kardashian products. One super thick concealer, a powder to set it, and an illuminator powder on top of that. Hard pass. I'm not trying to look 120 years old under my eyes, thanks.
I'm wearing the Tatcha product it here and I really like the effect:

What this product doesn't do, however, is totally cover dark areas. It's a brightener, not a concealer. So I still use some of my Hourglass concealer (read about that post HERE) but only in the inner corner of my eyes.
What I really like is that this allows me to use less concealer which means I don't have to deal with tons of product that can potentially give me dry, cake-y, crepe-y under eyes. I love the Hourglass concealer but it's still product under my eyes. Which I would prefer to have minimal. The less product on your under eyes, the younger you look, IMO.
Also, because this product is super concentrated, you don't need a lot at all, which means this puppy is going to last me for a long time.
Once I run out, I will definitely be repurchasing because I don't think I've seen anything on the market like it.
Have you guys heard of this product? If you've tried it, what did you think?
