My New Jorts

I have been a big fan of the diaper jean short trend (that I'm pretty sure One Teaspoon is responsible for) for the past few years now. See below for the classic diaper short, the Bandits Short by One Teaspoon:
I initially fell in love with this look because the way the short is styled, with the fabric rolled up on the side, as it really lengthens the leg. Plus the roominess in the front (which adds to the diaper look) and the low waist truly make for the most comfortable jean short.
HOWEVER ☝🏼 After purchasing three different pairs of One Teaspoon shorts all similar style but different washes (and having them be part of my go to summer uniform, as my bestie Casey would say, for the past 3 summers) I've been on the hunt for a new jean short. If you've been following le blog, you know your girl loves a pair of high waisted jeans so I started looking for a pair of high waisted jean shorts that were a bit more classic.
My stipulations:
I don't want to spend more than 100 bucks
They MUST be comfortable, no coochie cutters (you know what I mean, those jean shorts we used to wear that would give us a front wedgie the whole day)
Not too short but not too long
I went on Revolve.com given they have such a great denim selection and clicked purchase on two pairs of Levi's jean shorts, knowing that i would force myself to return one and keep one.
I chose this Levi's 501 Short:
And this Levi's 501 High Waisted Short:
Here's what they look like on someone who is not a model/6 ft tall (ie me)-
These are the 501's

And these are the high waisted 501's:

I kept the 501 High Waisted shorts (these 👆🏼) because I felt the wash and the shape were very different from the other jean shorts I have. They're not skin tight and they'll stretch a bit, so I feel pretty good about my purchase.
So ok tell me. Are you a jorts wear-er? What's your favorite brand and style?
