Day to Night Smokey Eye In 2 Seconds

I don't know about you but I need to be in the mood to do my makeup. Luckily, I just happen to be in the mood to do it most of the time I need to adult; ie in the mornings before work (I actually look forward to it...I'm a creep, I know.) When I'm not in the mood to do it is after I've had a couple glasses of wine. Say, I get home from work on a Friday, it's not quite time for our evening plans but it's been a long week so #GimmeAllTheWine. Or, when I've brunched a little too hard and still have plans at night. Or, when I just don't feel like it *crosses arms and stomps*. I use this handy little product that instantly turns my day look into a nighttime look, with minimal, if any at all, effort.

This eyeshadow stick by Marc Jacobs is so good because not only is the formula fantastic (once it sets, it doesn't budge) but the color is just so good. Truthfully the photo above reads a little more red than it does in real life (hence the swatch below). It's actually more of a neutral bronze, rather than one that leans really cool or warm. Because of this, it works on EVERY skin tone. I've used it on my blonde friends, my brunette friends, olive skinned, fair skinned. And it looks fire on everyone.

All you do is swipe across lid, up and a bit over the crease, and blend the product so there are no harsh edges. Apply it on your waterline and/or lightly under your bottom lash line and instantly, your look gets a little bit edgier and definitely sexier. See below for photographic evidence:

I take this with me whenever I travel because traveling is yet another time I just don't feel like getting into my whole makeup routine, specifically my eye evening makeup. And this product wins, every. single. time.
