Vitamin C Serum

If you haven't incorporated a Vitamin C Serum into your skin care regime by now, it's time. Vitamin C is a key ingredient to:
Firmer skin
Smoother Skin
Brighter Skin
Vitamin C works to gently exfoliate and slough dead skin cells off- not as effectively and immediately, of course, as a peel or physical exfoliant, but used twice a day, will even out your skin tone, help fade old acne scars and just give you brighter, smoother skin.
So with that said, I've been using a Vitamin C Serum for years now which means I've used a few brands and I have a favorite.
First up, is the Ole Henricksen Truth Serum. This was a ride or die product for me; I loved how thin the consistency was which meant it absorbed really quickly and it did it's job. But at $48 bucks per ounce, it's not exactly cheap, right?
That said, I always try to switch up my skin care products from time to time because 1. I'm always on the look out for the next best thing 2. I have a theory that skin can tend to "get used to" a product, therefore over time, the efficacy of the product goes down. So, the next Vitamin C Serum I tried was the Peter Thomas Roth Camu Camu Power C x 30. And at $85 bucks for 1.7 ounces, again, not cheap but dang did this last me a long time.

Then I started doing some research and realized that there was no percentage of Vitamin C labeled anywhere on the packaging of the Ole Henricksen or the Peter Thomas Roth. The "30" on the Peter Thomas Roth packaging says that it's "30 times the Vitamin C of an orange." But honestly, what does that even mean, right?
So I went on Prime (where there are some GREAT beauty and skincare finds; I'll have to do a post about that in the future) and came across one of the top rated Vitamin C Serums- it has 7800+ reviews and 4.5 stars. You'll see on the packaging below it states very clearly that there's 20% Vitamin C in there, rendering it one of the higher concentrated Vitamin C serums out there. (BTW, I'm gonna research and try a 30% Vitamin C Serum next now that I'll have built up a tolerance for 20%.)
Also, I LOVE that this serum has hyaluronic acid in it; it's such a great ingredient to really hydrate your skin (and in my opinion, all skin types should be using a hyaluronic acid ingredient in their skincare.)
After using it (in conjunction with rosehip oil, see previous post) my skin is looking pretty good, considering I'm still getting over my bout of dermatitis (basically a form of rosacea) that's been plaguing me for the past few months. It's doing such a good job of fading any scars, hyper-pigmentation, sun spots...I'm just so happy with this product. AND the best part...it's $19.99 for an ounce. So inexpensive and so effective.
Do you guys use a Vitamin C serum? Which one?
