New Eyeliner (but really, Tight Liner)

I'm not sure if I've ever talked about tight lining before on le blog but it's one of those steps when I do my makeup that I never ever miss.

Essentially, you take a gel eyeliner (not liquid...my GOD not liquid) and run it under your *top* lashes.

See the pics below to see what I mean. This first pic, I've only tight lined the eye on the right.

And then in this pic, I've tight lined both eyes:

See the difference? It just makes the base of your lashes look thicker, thus framing your eyes and defining them without fussing with making sure your eye liner is even and perfectly smudged or perfectly cat eyed. I can't mess with that on an every day basis.

SO. Ok the product. I recently ran out of my Charlotte Tilbury Liquid Kohl Pencil (fancy way of saying "gel liner") in Bedroom Black:

And it was ok. Not bad enough for me to throw it away but it did smudge onto my lower lash line and to my lower lashes, especially on hot days.

I ran out of it while we were on vacation (or rather, I had a good 2 inches left on the pencil and the actual product fell out of said pencil and I couldn't find it. #SorryAirBnBOwner) so I popped into a Sephora and asked the sales person to recommend another gel eyeliner (#AlwaysOnTheHuntForSomethingBetter) and she recommended the Marc Jacobs Ultra Skinny Gel Eye Liner:

And it's GREAT. Super smooth (you do NOT want something that skips or is dry when tightlining) and it doesn't transfer to my lower lashline! It doesn't smudge at all- I wore this in Miami when it was 85 degrees and humid and it lasted for hours. And no smudging. I am super impressed.

So ok tell me. Do you guys tight line? What eye liners have you used and liked?
