A Couple New Products from Beauty Counter

So recently I was chatting with my friend Tina and she mentioned, knowing what a product junkie I am, that she had a bunch of products she thought I'd be interested in trying out from Beauty Counter, given she started working with the brand back in December. When she posted something on social media about working with them, I told her how much I'd been dying to try their tinted moisturizer that I'd heard so much about. And you know me and trying before buying- I just won't do it if I can't get a sample.
So we met up at spin and when we left, she gave me a basket chock full of full size products to try out for a few days. I was super excited because she picked products from their multiple lines that she thought would work for my sensitive and dry skin.
I mean, look!

Ok, so admittedly you can't really see everything she gave me so I'll give you a snapshot:
A day and night moisturizer
An eye cream
A mask
A plumping oil
A facial spray
The tinted moisturizer I mentioned above
A foundation
A Baby balm (I'll explain why below)
So what's the deal with Beauty Counter? It's basically clean skin care and makeup. Nothing bad in them (some of the info she included was their "Never" list, a list of ingredients they'll never include ie parabens and preservatives for example. Peep their full list HERE)
To be completely honest, clean skincare and makeup isn't on the top of my priority list. But it should be, right? I mean, it's my skin and my body and I shouldn't be putting stuff on there that's linked to like, cancer (hi, hydroquinone).
So I took the products home and I can safely say that used them all (except the foundation, which was too light for me) and REALLY liked them. Both day and night moisturizers were really hydrating and I loved the eye cream. It really melted into my skin and my concealer sat on it really nicely.

I *loved* the consistency and finish of the Tinted Moisturizer but personally, I prefer something with a bit more coverage. For those of you who just want a very light tint on the skin, this might be for you.

I used the mask on Self Care Sunday (omg, feel free to unfriend in real life, I'm sorry I just said that) and I loved the experience, especially how easy it was to wash off. My skin looked toned and even afterwards. And it was a quick mask, 10 minutes.

The hydrating spray was really nice, too. Very light and refreshing. When I run out of my Caudalie one, I might be picking this one up.

But the two stand out products for me were the Plumping Oil and the Baby Balm.

Look at all the hydrating oils they use in this one product:

If you're a reader of le blog, you'll know that I fux with oils, big time. I love them and will never not use them in my skincare regime. But the Plumping Oil just did something extra. I wore it in the evening as the second to last step in my skincare routine and woke up the next morning and my skin hadn't looked that hydrated, smooth and texture free, and just really really even, in a long time.
I say the oil was my second to last step because Tina also included the Baby Balm in my basket and she told me that she puts it on as a last step to her skin care routine in the evening, which I did was well. Evidently it's ultra hydrating and it seems to help seal in all my other skincare. At first I was thinking, Am I going to wake up having totally ruined my pillowcase because of my crazy greasy night time face? (And honestly, even if it did, I don't care because #skincare) But the answer to that is no- it's not like a Vaseline consistency, it's thinner and it absorbs more quickly. But it's definitely a balm. And it's MAGIC. After incorporating both the oil and the balm for only a couple nights, I texted Tina furiously and asked, "Ok how can I order these products??"

Again, I'm just really loving the ingredients in the Baby Balm, too:

If you're interested in checking out Beauty Counter's line, go HERE. I've included Tina's link so she can make dat money if you purchase something from her :)
So tell me; have you guys used Beauty Counter Products? Which ones are your favorite? Do you prefer their makeup or skincare?
