If you've been following le blog, you know that I am skincare obsessed but don't really like sheet masks. I think they're messy, kind of a waste (the packaging and the sheet itself, like why not just give me a little tube of the serum the sheet is soaked in) and of the 20+ I've tried, only one I've loved. (peep that post HERE)

Well, add another one to the list, the JayJun Collagen Sheet Mask:

First, I really like that there are two steps. The first step is hyaluronic acid essence, which works to open your pores which allows for the collagen to be better absorbed into your skin. The second is the actual mask.

I will note that this is a messy sheet mask in that it is SOAKED and it's kind of heavy to wear. One of the main reasons I love the rose mud mask I mention above is because it's not messy at all and it really adheres to the shape of your face. The Jayjun is one of those that kinda hangs about your face and you can't really do anything except sit and wait for it to absorb into your skin.

Also, and I'm just being honest, once you remove it, your skin is sticky. Like, real sticky. So I didn't actually do any of my other skincare I usually do, I just used this mask, let it absorb as much as it could into my skin and went to bed.

So ok the two paragraphs above you're probably like ew this sounds like the worst mask why is she talking about this.

Well I'll tell you. Because MY SKIN LOOKED AMAZING THE NEXT MORNING. Like, I was shocked? Smooth. Clear. Even toned. No redness. Plump. Hydrated.

One of the things I will note with sheet masks that I've learned is that you kinda gotta be patient and put it on your face and leave it there until the mask itself is almost dry. It takes forever but it does force you to relax and not move so it's not the worst thing in the world.

Another tip: after you remove the sheet mask and apply it to your face, take all of the serum out of the packet (like squeeze it out) and apply it to your neck, chest, arms, back of hands. Do not waste that serum!

I originally bought the Jayjun Collagen mask at Riley Rose in the store (and felt about a million years too old to be in there might I add) but found that they are sold on amazon for the same price. Score.

So tell me. Any sheet masks I absolutely have to try? Any that you felt were a waste of money?
